Let pie crusts cool to room temperature and then roll out.
Cut out shapes from the pie crust with cookie cutters or use the top of a cup to make round pies.
Use a food processor (or just slice by hand) to cut up the apple slices in the pie filling. Smaller pieces fit better into small pies. I also like to add a bit of extra cinnamon to the pie filling...I like mine EXTRA cinnamon-ey:)
Put a SMALL spoonful of apple filling in the middle of half of the cutouts.
Place the other half of the cutouts onto the tops of each filled pie.
Use a fork to crimp the edges together. Just make sure all edges are sealed up to keep the apple in.
Cut a slit or two or poke a few holes into the top of the pie to vent.
Place hand pies into the air fryer. All air fryers are different...so baking times will vary. But I cook at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes. I just keep checking every couple of minutes until the crust gets a nice golden brown.
Lightly spray with cooking spray and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. This part is optional, but it makes them EXTRA CUTE!!!
