Holy Summer Break you guys!! I meant to take off a week to spend with my kids for Summer and ended up taking a month long blog break!! I did NOT fall off the face of the Earth though…I was still over on Instagram sharing ALL THE THINGS!! If you are not following along over on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM, you should. I share A LOT of things there that never make it to the good old blog. Because do you know what is easier then blogging sometimes…NOT blogging…haha!!

THIS week on the blog I shared these BANANA SPLIT COOKIES that are absolutely perfect for Summer. They are a combination of fruit pizza and chocolate sauce that just make me VERY VERY happy!! And also a little chubby too because I cannot stop eating them…haha!! Head over to that post to grab the recipe and we can be happy and chubby together!!!

Also in NON blog related news…VIRGIN RIVER season 3 came out this week. Did you already binge the entire season?? I was going to watch ONE episode per day for 10 days, but ended up watching the entire season in one sitting. I COULD NOT STOP WATCHING!! If you are a Virgin River fan, I would love to hear your thoughts on Season 3. I have ALL the thoughts about it (no spoilers ahead). I cannot believe they ended on such a cliffhanger again, I HATE Charmaine and think she needs to exit stage left for good, I REALLY REALLY like Brady this season and think he might be my new favorite, I am sick of the Preacher/Paige running away from the ex-husband’s death storyline and just need it to move on, AND I do not understand why Charmaine is pregnant with twins and is still stick thin…did I mention I hate her??? I am actually pretty sad that I will now have to wait another year for another full day binge session. The scenery ALONE is worth watching for!!

My favorite phone/tablet holder is on major sale again this week. I use this holder ALL THE TIME to both film AND watch videos on my phone. And it is on sale for 50% off PLUS if you clip the coupon it is another 30% off!! So down to like $15 from $50…SWEET!!

It is SOOOO much easier to scroll back and find ALL of my deal shares on Facebook. This week there were deals on Sharpies, Flair pens, glue sticks, erasers, markers, white board markers, and a whole lot more!! But this glue stick sale is too good not to share here. 30 glue sticks for under $7!! I grab this deal every year because we all know that glue sticks disappear…I think they go wherever the missing socks from the dryer end up!!

Another smoking deal this week is for my FAVORITE Amazon find of the year…a car vacuum. I LOVE THIS THING!! It plugs into my car charger and works like a champ. It is obviously not as strong as a car wash vacuum, but it is PERFECT for quick fixes. We keep ours in the small cubby in the back of our car and it comes in super handy…especially with the kids. I wish I had had one of these when my kids were still in carseats…it would be perfect for vacuuming up all of those crumbs that always ended up in those disgusting seats. BUT we did use ours on our beach trip and it worked SOOOOO good to keep the sand under control. Don’t forget to clip the coupon though…it makes this deal as low as $30…SCORE!!!

And last but not least…the dish scrubber I NEVER knew I needed. I have wanted a cute farmhouse style dish brush for a while, but they are always too expensive. This brush/bowl combo is now the ONLY dish brush I will ever be able to use. It is cute, farmhouse-y, and cheap…AND it has a secret weapon. In the bottom of the bowl is a springy plate. You just add a bit of dish soup and water to the bottom of the bowl, bounce the brush on the plate, and scrub. It adds JUST enough soup to help clean and bubble. I love when products can be both cute AND usable!!!

Over on Instagram I shared some fun patriotic treats for the 4th of JULY that would be PERFECT for adding a bit of fun to the Olympics next week. I plan to re-make a few of our favorites to add some RED, WHITE, and BLUE fun to our Olympic snacking!! I have videos on INSTAGRAM for a quick HOW TO on each of these fun Olympic worthy treats…yogurt parfaits, strawberry shortcake on a stick, patriotic trifle, and red/white/blue ice-cream sandwiches. YUMMMM!!!

A little something to think about this week…

Haha!! That is pretty much how I am feeling this week:) It is sooooo disappointing when you realize that you cannot sit on the floor criss cross apple sauce for an hour and then just expect to STAND back up. Ugh. I hope you have some fun weekend plans…Happy Saturday!! Let’s chat again soon. JESS
