  • PROGRESS over perfection

Well somehow it is already August and I feel like 2020 has been the year of forgotten goals. SOOO I am going to take this opportunity to start fresh and make some new resolutions. As I was contemplating this, I decided I needed a word…something that would pop into my mind anytime I wanted to sit on the couch and watch Netflix and eat chocolate chips outta the bag. I google searched POWER words and decided on PROGRESS. August would be the month of progress. BUT then as I started to plan my month, my goals became more clear. I have a LOT of un-finished (and un-started) projects around my…

  • Why we decided to home-school

Let me just start off by saying that I TOTALLY understand the strange looks I receive when I say “I pulled my son out of public school this year and now we are home-schooling.” I get it. I WAS that person. I would have been at the VERY FRONT of the public school parade pointing at the home-school families and shaking my head. That is until my son needed me. He NEEDED me to step in and make a SUPER difficult decision FOR HIM. Let me start at the beginning. Ethan is a good kid. He is a delightful kid. He doesn’t get into trouble, cause problems, or push boundaries.…

  • Kid-Friendly Charcuterie Board

First off…did you see our new YouTube channel yet?? If not, you SHOULD!! We have TONS of new content planned for the summer, so don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss it!! This week has brought us temps over 100, and my desire to cook (and will to live) have both left the building. It is just TOO DANG HOT!! At the grocery store, I was at a TOTAL loss. What the heck could I make for dinner that was A. simple enough for my 5 month quarantine self to pull off and B. didn’t require turning on the oven?!?! As I wandered through the cool aisles of the…

All opinions remain my own. In my opinion, there are only two types of people in this world…those who like board games…and weirdos. Haha. I LOVE GAMES!! And when people tell me they DON’T love to play games, it is basically like they are speaking Latin to me…I DO NOT understand. Since March (when life as we know it changed and this crazy thing we call social distancing started to rock my mommin’ world), I have pretty…

  • When life hands you lemons…

You guys!!! Life is just flat crazy right now. I almost cannot wrap my mind around all of the changes EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have been VERY quiet lately because there are SO DARN MANY THINGS happening and honestly I just cannot keep up…mentally. Just when I think I have mastered running a business from home, home-schooling, AND eating 176 snacks a day, another curve ball arrives and BOOM I end up binge watching Netflix with my kiddos and making homemade playdoh. And then playing with playdoh by myself because my kids are just EHHH about playing with playdoh, but I think it is super fun after 5,000 days of…

  • You don’t HAVE to have EVERYTHING to have it ALL!!!

Do you ever look at social media and think…IF I ONLY HAD WHAT THEY HAVE…or…IF I COULD ONLY AFFORD THAT…or…UGHH WHY DO I EVEN TRY?? We live in a fantastic time in history where we can see it ALL, do it ALL, and HAVE it ALL…but guess what??? We do not NEED it all!!! Let me ruin the ending for you. If you buy that “BLANK” that you saw your insta crush share this morning, it will NOT make you happier. If you eat the EXACT snack topped with protein powder and peanutbutter that your insta nutritionist chowed on yesterday, it will not give you abs. And if you have…
