Elf On The Shelf Ideas
You guys…I cannot get it together with this darn elf. I was super tempted to just tell the kids that the elf got Covid and be done with it, but I was honestly too tired to write a Covid letter from the darn elf. ARGHHH. Like Christmas isn’t stressful enough without this judgmental elf ruining my nights…and when I forget to move him…my mornings too!! BUT Kid 2 thinks it is SOOOOO fun when the Elf does something besides sit in the Christmas tree for 3 days, that it is hard to resist. SOOOO I grabbed some stuff we had on hand…and created a fun Elf On The Shelf, s’mores…

If you are anything like me, you always have big plans for making neighbor treats early each year…and then Christmas Eve rolls around and you are scrambling to make them something yummy at the last MOST stressful minute!!! Seriously, you think I would learn. The only year I was even REMOTELY on the ball, I tried making my neighbors caramels 4 times…FOUR TIMES!! They just would NOT set up!!! Then a friend of mine told me that you cannot make caramels in the rain…SAY WHAT?!?! Sooo now I am all about tried and true recipes that CANNOT fail. And this SUGAR COOKIE CHEX MIX is a favorite!! Grandma June’s Sugar Cookie Recipe
Today’s post is all about the BEST SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE ever…but trust me that you need THE BEST SUGAR COOKIE FROSTING RECIPE too…I shared that recipe HERE!! When I was a little girl, I thought that EVERYONE’S grandma made the BEST cookies. But as I got older, I realized that was not in fact true. NOT ALL COOKIES ARE CREATED EQUAL. When I want a soft delicious frosted sugar cookie…only my Grandma June’s sugar cookie recipe will do. She used to make us GIANT heart shaped sugar cookies for Valentine’s Day, and NO OTHER Valentine cookie will ever taste as sweet. Grandma’s sugar cookies are perfect for cutting and frosting,…

Netflix Christmas Movies
Are you a Hallmark movie junkie?? Do you watch them year after year over and over even though they are SOOOO predictable and you know EXACTLY how they are going to end?? Are you incapable of decorating the tree or eating Christmas cookies until midnight or wrapping presents without the endless string of stories playing in the background?? Even though you KNOW that the unemployed chef is going to fall in love with the heartbroken t.v. repairman after they get trapped in an elevator…in a snowstorm…in a castle…or whatever. It doesn’t even matter…you will watch JUST to make sure they get their happy ending. Well no judgement from me. If…

Walmart Finds: Farmhouse Christmas on a budget
I adore going ALL out with my Christmas decorations, but buying new stuff each year can REALLY take a toll on my budget. That is why I was sooooo excited to see that Walmart had some AMAZING farmhouse Christmas finds this year…and all for VERY reasonable prices. BUTTTT I have heard from many of you that YOUR Walmart does not have the same selection. Lucky for everyone that a few of my favorites are available online. PLUS you can order them and then do FREE pick up at your local store. Just order what you love, and then pick it up a few days later at your own store…easy peasy.…

What??? I am starting a blog??
Ready for a truth bomb?? Social media makes me feel bad about myself sometimes (most of the time). There is just something about the ability to see everyone's highlight reel that makes MY real life seem...well sucksville. But the longer I hang out on social media and the more I get to know about the process, the more I realize it is all a myth. NOBODY is perfect.
