Back to school is still in full swing at Orchard Slope. I have not shared a lot about our previous curriculum choices OR our current homeschool curriculum, but today is the day that all changes. Friday Favorites: multiplication games
This week one of my sweet followers asked me for my recommendation on the best multiplication games to help with learning times tables. How have I never shared that here on the blog?? If there is ONE thing we have been working at for what seems like YEARS…it is our multiplication tables. When I initially decided to home-school Ethan, I was SUPER overwhelmed by all of the curriculum options swirling around the internet. It seemed that EVERY one had good reviews and bad reviews, pluses and minuses. SOOOO when we first started, I chose to just patchwork a curriculum together to get us started. BUT soon I realized that winging it was NOT the answer. SO I jumped into researching again, and that is when I discovered THE GOOD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Why we decided to home-school
Let me just start off by saying that I TOTALLY understand the strange looks I receive when I say “I pulled my son out of public school this year and now we are home-schooling.” I get it. I WAS that person. I would have been at the VERY FRONT of the public school parade pointing at the home-school families and shaking my head. That is until my son needed me.
