Farmhouse Decor Under $25

The question I get asked most often is WILL YOU COME DECORATE FOR ME??? And the answer…yes I totally would…except I can’t. Darn life!! But I CAN help you find the look you are going for and begin transforming your OWN home into the modern farmhouse you are dreaming of. AND that is ALMOST as good as hanging out and shopping together right?? To help you get started, I have rounded up some great farmhouse options ALL for under $25, so you can add a few farmhouse touches into your home slowly and not break the budget. Adding a simple runner to a table or buffet will add a bit of texture and interest, but is easy to remove when ACTUALLY eating at the table. A fancy tablescape might LOOK pretty, but after your kids (or let’s be honest your hubby) have moved it twenty times to set the table, they will start to revolt (trust me I know from personal experience). You cannot get much more farmhouse then grain sack stripes and this cutie comes in under $10!!!

The little touches can make all the difference when decorating. This vintage inspired grater doubles as a towel hook…SOOOO STinKinG cute:) Plus I love that you can use it year round by simply changing out what you fill it with…cotton, lamb’s ear, florals, sunflowers, pine…or simplify and leave it empty. I also think it would be fun with wooden spoons in a kitchen…YUM!!

Adding natural touches makes a house look more HOMEY…and I LOVE COTTON!!! It is cheap, goes with every color scheme, and works for ALL seasons. I have heaps of cotton stems around my house, but can NEVER have toooo many.

Changing out dated lighting can make a HUGE difference in the look of a home. Lighting can make the difference between a home looking like a builder grade box and a truly custom farmhouse. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking new fixtures have to cost a fortune…they just need to LOOK like they did right?!?!

Grainsack stripes are my LOVE LANGUAGE!!! I cannot get enough of that vintage farmhouse feel. I have not pulled the plug on updating all of my kitchen towels yet, but when I do…THESE ARE THE ONES!!!

And do I even need to say A THING about these grainsack pillows…THESE make my heart happy!!! I bought similar ones from Hobby Lobby before Christmas, but you cannot beat Amazon for Winter shopping…who wants to go OUTSIDE…blech!!

Buffalo plaid was all the rage this year and it does not seem to be going anywhere (thank goodness because I LOVE IT!!!). It is always fun to have a few towels JUST FOR LOOKS to hang on the stove handle or on a wall hook. Plus it sounds very farmhouse grandma to have “everyday dish towls” and “fancy dish towels” right!?!

And if you need even MORE buffalo plaid…these pillow covers come in a set of 2 for UNDER $10!!!

If my laundry room wasn’t a complete HOT MESS EXPRESS all the time, I would grab these to add a little cute to the most depressing space in our house. GIANT SAFETY PINS…what else can I say???

I am sure I sound like a broken record, but decorating does NOT have to cost a fortune. And you do NOT have to change an entire room all at once. Just by adding in a few small farmhouse touches to the decor you already have, you can completely change the look and feel of your home. Thanks for stopping by…and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
