Book Review: Relentless Solution Focus

I am usually not much of a self-help book reader, but if 2020/2021 has taught me ANYTHING, it is to expect the unexpected. I was gifted this book and was TOTALLY intrigued by the Subtitle…TRAIN YOUR MIND TO CONQUER STRESS, PRESSURE, AND UNDERPERFORMANCE. If there is ONE thing I feel on the daily, it is stress, pressure, and guilt. So I hopped right into reading Relentless Solution Focus by Dr. Jason Selk.

RLS (Relentless Solution Focus) is actually less of a self help type book, and more of a plan for living a more action driven life. My favorite part of the book is when Dr. Selk states that we are hard wired to focus on the negative in ANY given situation. UMMM…YES. THAT IS ME!! STANDING HERE WITH MY NEGATIVE FEELINGS FLAG WAVING!! BUTTTTTT we can re-train ourselves to focus on small actions, and ultimately be happier and more productive. Who doesn’t want THAT outcome?!?! I really loved the action plan, steps, and workbook style of this book in teaching how to change my perspective and attack my problems…instead of my usual ignore them and do nothing strategy. Honestly, I still need a lot of work, but hopefully I can use some of Dr. Selk’s strategies to…what was it again…conquer stress and pressure and be more productive!!

You can find this book HERE if you want to beat the 20201 stress game too. Also, leave you best stress beating tip in the comments…I need all the help I can get!! You can see what else I have been reading lately HERE, HERE, and HERE. Happy Wednesday. Let’s chat soon. JESS

****I received a copy of Relentless Solution Focus from the publisher in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own.
