Easy Diy Book Page Garland
I have had SOOOOO many of you order book page banners from my Etsy Shop, and I LOVE making them, but I cannot get any more made in time to ship out before Valentine’s Day this year. SOOOO I am passing on the super simple tutorial, so that you can make your own. And the best part…you can switch up your paper and design and create a book page garland for EVERY holiday and season!!
Step 1. Rip out some old book pages. I like to use vintage books because the pages have the nice aged yellow color. Cut pages down to 4 inches wide by 6 inches tall.
Step 2: Use one pages as a template. Fold in half and snip the bottom to make a pendant shape. Use template to cut your book page pendants.
Step 3: Make a heart template. Trace and cut out your hearts.
Step 4: Sew your hearts on to your pendants. ORRRR if you are making a no-sew version, glue your hearts.
No sew tip: You can also use scrapbook paper to make your hearts. Or buy ready made heart stickers/cut outs.
Step 5: Fold down the top of your pendants. Fold towards the back.
Step 6: Lay your twine under the flap.
Step 7: Sew or glue down the edge of your flap.
Now make a book page garland for every holiday and season!!!
